Plain nicotine salt bottle IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist — Iqosmozambique
Plain in Maputo: 15 units tested over 9 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
A plain nicotine salt bottle from the online options in Mozambique costs about MT3.5 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Plain in Maputo reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain nicotine salt bottle really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plain in a nicotine salt bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.5 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for plain in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
How long does plain in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In Maputo we measured 9 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a nicotine salt bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.5 per 10 ml liquid plus MT40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
