Cola pen device IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 10 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a pen device for cola
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.8 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at cola in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long cola tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cola pen device really costs in Maputo
Cola in Maputo reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested cola in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cola bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cola goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cola in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should cola start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
How long does cola in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
