Plain mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Plain in Maputo: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a mesh tank for plain
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you are looking at plain in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Plain in Maputo reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where plain goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

| Coil life | ~6 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT56 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.96 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.96 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.96 per 10 ml liquid plus MT56 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
