Nutty box mod IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Nutty in Maputo: 7 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Nutty box mod here
Nutty in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A nutty box mod from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT1.99 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: nutty in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a nutty box mod really costs in Maputo
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.99 per 10 ml.
How we tested nutty in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every nutty bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.99 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
