Mintice box mod IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Mintice in Maputo: 10 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a box mod for mintice
We run mintice the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at mintice in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long mintice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mintice box mod really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested mintice in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a mintice bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.61 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mintice in Maputo survives.
- Mixing mintice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Mintice | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | box mod | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 10 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~6 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT52 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.61 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is mintice legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should mintice start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
