Licorice starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Licorice in Maputo: 22 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.89 per 10 ml.
A licorice starter kit from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT2.89 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a licorice starter kit really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at licorice in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested licorice in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.89 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for licorice in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does licorice in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
