Mint sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Mint in Maputo: 23 units tested over 4 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a sub-ohm kit for mint
The honest read on mint: 23 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Mint sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: mint in Maputo works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
Mint in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested mint in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where mint goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.87 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
