Mint squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Mint in Maputo: 7 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with mint in Mozambique
Mint in Maputo reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.73 per 10 ml.
The short version: mint in Maputo works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint squonk mod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested mint in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where mint goes wrong
- Mixing mint with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mint in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Mint | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | squonk mod | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 7 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT50 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.73 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.73 per 10 ml liquid plus MT50 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
