Mint pen device IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Mint in Maputo: 15 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on mint: 15 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.9 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a mint pen device really costs in Maputo
Mint sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested mint in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where mint goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.9 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mint in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mint in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Mint | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | pen device | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 15 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT31 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.9 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.9 per 10 ml liquid plus MT31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
