Mint mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Mint in Maputo: 24 units tested over 7 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Mint mesh tank here
Mint in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A mint mesh tank from the pre-order options in Mozambique costs about MT2.19 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Mint in Maputo reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested mint in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mint goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.19 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
Is mint legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mint the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.19 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
