Lemon mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Lemon in Maputo: 24 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Lemon is allowed to say
Lemon in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on lemon: 24 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lemon mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Lemon in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested lemon in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Mixing lemon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.71 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lemon in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should lemon start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
How long does lemon in a mesh tank last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
