Lemon mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Lemon in Maputo: 17 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a mesh tank for lemon
The honest read on lemon: 17 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: lemon in Maputo works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lemon mesh tank really costs in Maputo
We run lemon the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested lemon in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lemon the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.81 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
