Lemon 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Lemon in Maputo: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Lemon is allowed to say
A lemon 30 ml shortfill from the best options in Mozambique costs about MT1.64 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run lemon the same way in Maputo: same 30 ml shortfill, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: lemon in Maputo works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lemon 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.64 per 10 ml.
How we tested lemon in a 30 ml shortfill
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Mixing lemon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.64 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.64 per 10 ml liquid plus MT39 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
