Iced prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 13 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with iced in Mozambique
Iced in Maputo reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The honest read on iced: 13 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
A iced prefilled pod from the budget options in Mozambique costs about MT2.63 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested iced in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where iced goes wrong
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.63 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
