Herbal pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with herbal in Mozambique
Herbal in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run herbal the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: herbal in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal pod kit really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at herbal in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested herbal in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.8 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
How long does herbal in a pod kit last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
