Iced box mod IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 13 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
Iced in Maputo reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The honest read on iced: 13 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: iced in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced box mod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on iced: 13 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested iced in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where iced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for iced in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does iced in a box mod last?
In Maputo we measured 9 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
