Honey mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Honey in Maputo: 22 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
We run honey the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A honey mesh tank from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT3.36 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long honey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a honey mesh tank really costs in Maputo
The honest read on honey: 22 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested honey in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where honey goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing honey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for honey in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.36 per 10 ml liquid plus MT31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On honey the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.36 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How long does honey in a mesh tank last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
