Herbal pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Herbal pod kit here
A herbal pod kit from the value options in Mozambique costs about MT1.93 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Herbal in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long herbal tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a herbal pod kit really costs in Maputo
We run herbal the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested herbal in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.93 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long herbal in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for herbal in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is herbal legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How long does herbal in a pod kit last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
