Herbal box mod IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
A herbal box mod from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT1.79 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal box mod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested herbal in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every herbal bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
Is herbal legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
