Guava prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Guava in Maputo: 6 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Guava prefilled pod here
Guava in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Guava prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a guava prefilled pod really costs in Maputo

How we tested guava in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where guava goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.97 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
