Guava cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Guava in Maputo: 6 units tested over 3 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with guava in Mozambique
Guava prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.63 per 10 ml.
We run guava the same way in Maputo: same cartomizer, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long guava tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a guava cartomizer really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at guava in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested guava in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every guava bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a guava bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where guava goes wrong
- Mixing guava with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for guava in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
