Sweet refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 8 units tested over 4 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a refill pack for sweet
Sweet in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.23 per 10 ml.
The short version: sweet in Maputo works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet refill pack really costs in Maputo
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.23 per 10 ml.
How we tested sweet in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in Maputo survives.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.23 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sweet in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
