Grapey box mod IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Grapey in Maputo: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with grapey in Mozambique
Grapey in Maputo reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run grapey the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey box mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at grapey in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested grapey in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.01 per 10 ml liquid plus MT44 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On grapey the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.01 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should grapey start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
