Frozen box mod IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Frozen in Maputo: 20 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the frozen habit
We run frozen the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at frozen in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: frozen in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen box mod really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested frozen in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
