Fig cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Fig in Maputo: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
A fig cartomizer from the cheapest options in Mozambique costs about MT2.13 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run fig the same way in Maputo: same cartomizer, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: fig in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a fig cartomizer really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at fig in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested fig in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where fig goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why fig tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long fig in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Fig | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | cartomizer | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 8 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT46 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.13 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should fig start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
