Cream pen device IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Cream in Maputo: 13 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Cream pen device here
Cream pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Cream in Maputo reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: cream in Maputo works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cream pen device really costs in Maputo
Cream prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.1 per 10 ml.
How we tested cream in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cream bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where cream goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.1 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for cream in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |

| Entry kit | MT47 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT3.1 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
