Cola zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist — Iqosmozambique
Cola in Maputo: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
We run cola the same way in Maputo: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.55 per 10 ml.
The short version: cola in Maputo works if the zero-nicotine bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested cola in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where cola goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.55 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
How much does a zero-nicotine bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.55 per 10 ml liquid plus MT46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
