Cola squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Cola squonk mod here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a cola squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Cola sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested cola in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where cola goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for cola in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On cola the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.21 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
How long does cola in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
