Cola refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What cola costs in Maputo
The honest read on cola: 14 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run cola the same way in Maputo: same refill pack, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long cola tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cola refill pack really costs in Maputo
A cola refill pack from the pre-order options in Mozambique costs about MT3.32 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested cola in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where cola goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cola in Maputo survives.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
