Cola pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with cola in Mozambique
We run cola the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: cola in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola pod kit really costs in Maputo
Cola in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested cola in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where cola goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should cola start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
How long does cola in a pod kit last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is cola legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
