Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
If you are looking at fig in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you are looking at fig in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long fig tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a fig mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Fig prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.0 per 10 ml.
How we tested fig in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every fig bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where fig goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing fig with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.0 per 10 ml liquid plus MT53 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On fig the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.0 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
