Cola mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Cola in Maputo: 8 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with cola in Mozambique
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
We run cola the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long cola tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cola mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Cola in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested cola in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cola bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where cola goes wrong
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cola in Maputo survives.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for cola in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Cola | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | mesh tank | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 8 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~6 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT45 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.62 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On cola the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.62 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should cola start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
