Coffee starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Coffee in Maputo: 16 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What coffee costs in Maputo
Coffee sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run coffee the same way in Maputo: same starter kit, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a coffee starter kit really costs in Maputo
Coffee prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.83 per 10 ml.
How we tested coffee in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every coffee bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long coffee in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.83 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
