Coffee starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Coffee in Maputo: 19 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What coffee costs in Maputo
Coffee sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Coffee prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.16 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a coffee starter kit really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at coffee in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested coffee in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every coffee bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.16 per 10 ml.
- Mixing coffee with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long coffee in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
What nicotine strength should coffee start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Why does coffee taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the coffee blend itself harsh.
