Citrus squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Citrus in Maputo: 17 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
The honest read on citrus: 17 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run citrus the same way in Maputo: same squonk mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus squonk mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at citrus in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested citrus in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
How long does citrus in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
