Citrus box mod IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Citrus in Maputo: 15 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Citrus box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A citrus box mod from the reviewed options in Mozambique costs about MT2.28 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: citrus in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus box mod really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at citrus in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested citrus in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
