Cherry prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 21 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the cherry habit
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Cherry sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
A cherry prefilled pod from the reviewed options in Mozambique costs about MT2.6 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested cherry in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cherry bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cherry tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cherry in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.6 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.6 per 10 ml liquid plus MT32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does cherry in a prefilled pod last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
