Cherry mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 17 units tested over 7 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Cherry is allowed to say
We run cherry the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Cherry in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry mesh tank really costs in Maputo
A cherry mesh tank from the budget options in Mozambique costs about MT3.6 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested cherry in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing cherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
