Cherry box mod IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 11 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with cherry in Mozambique
If you are looking at cherry in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run cherry the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: cherry in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cherry box mod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on cherry: 11 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested cherry in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cherry in Maputo survives.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for cherry in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |

| Entry kit | MT59 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.96 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.96 per 10 ml liquid plus MT59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does cherry in a box mod last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
