Coffee pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Coffee in Maputo: 21 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What coffee costs in Maputo
Coffee pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Coffee in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long coffee tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coffee pod kit really costs in Maputo
Coffee prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.96 per 10 ml.
How we tested coffee in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Mixing coffee with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.96 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coffee tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for coffee in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
