Cherry box mod IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Cherry in Maputo: 19 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
A cherry box mod from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT2.83 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Cherry box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry box mod really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested cherry in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a cherry bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cherry bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.83 per 10 ml.
- Mixing cherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for cherry in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does cherry in a box mod last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.83 per 10 ml liquid plus MT61 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
