Caramel 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Caramel in Maputo: 7 units tested over 8 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Caramel 30 ml shortfill here
A caramel 30 ml shortfill from the cheapest options in Mozambique costs about MT2.15 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: caramel in Maputo works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
The honest read on caramel: 7 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested caramel in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How long does caramel in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
