Blackcurrant squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Blackcurrant in Maputo: 16 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the blackcurrant habit
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Blackcurrant in Maputo reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long blackcurrant tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a blackcurrant squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Blackcurrant in Maputo reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested blackcurrant in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.45 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should blackcurrant start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
How long does blackcurrant in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On blackcurrant the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.45 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
