Apple mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Apple in Maputo: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a mesh tank for apple
Apple sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.81 per 10 ml.
The short version: apple in Maputo works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple mesh tank really costs in Maputo
We run apple the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested apple in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where apple goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
