Vanilla 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 18 units tested over 8 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.5 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
We run vanilla the same way in Maputo: same 30 ml shortfill, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.5 per 10 ml liquid plus MT59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
