Vanilla starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.07 per 10 ml.
Vanilla sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: vanilla in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in Maputo
A vanilla starter kit from the compared options in Mozambique costs about MT2.07 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.07 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

In Maputo we measured 2 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
