Vanilla refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 16 units tested over 2 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a refill pack for vanilla
Vanilla sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla refill pack really costs in Maputo
Vanilla in Maputo reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested vanilla in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.69 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.69 per 10 ml liquid plus MT32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.69 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
