Vanilla RDA IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.34 per 10 ml.
Vanilla in Maputo reaches the shelf in RDA formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla RDA really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested vanilla in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.34 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
