Vanilla pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 7 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with vanilla in Mozambique
The honest read on vanilla: 7 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.36 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in Maputo
Vanilla in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.36 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for vanilla in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Entry kit | MT48 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.36 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is vanilla legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
