Vanilla pen device IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 16 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Vanilla is allowed to say
A vanilla pen device from the best options in Mozambique costs about MT2.91 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at vanilla in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla pen device really costs in Maputo
We run vanilla the same way in Maputo: same pen device, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in Maputo survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.91 per 10 ml liquid plus MT47 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
